Accident Near Goodyear Plant BEAUMONT (September 21, 2018) – A major collision near the Goodyear plant in Beaumont occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Thursday. An 18-wheeler was traveling westbound on I-10 West when it was rear-ended by a white pickup truck.

The driver of the 2016 Chevrolet pickup truck was Dennis Carlin of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Mr. Carlin died on the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.

The wreck shut down the westbound lanes for several hours. There is an ongoing investigation and police reports will be made available in ten days.
