Big Rig Crash Ends Up in Flames in Northwest Harris CountyMonday evening an 18-wheeler caught on fire in northwest Harris County.

The crash happened in the 12600 block of TC Jester Boulevard near Spears Road. According to investigators the truck driver collided into a guardrail before the big rig caught fire.. The driver was ejected from the rig covered in flames. He died at the scene.

Deputies are not certain if the driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the wreck. Witnesses stated that the truck was traveling at a high rate of speed and swerving between lanes before the collision. The 18-wheeler is the only vehicle involved in the crash and the driver has not been identified. The crash remains under investigation.
