Shelly Caram Fatal Accident HOUSTON (September 18, 2018) – Early Saturday morning in Fort Worth, Texas, a fatal accident occurred near East Lancaster Avenue and East Loop 820. According to the crash report, Dustin Hollier was traveling west bound in a silver 2012 Mazda 3 in the inside lane towards the 6700 block of East Lancaster Avenue.

Tommy Caram, the driver of a blue 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche, and his wife Shelly Caram, were in the inside lane heading east bound on the 6700 block of East Lancaster Avenue.

According to witnesses, the Mazda crossed the double yellow lines hitting the Avalanche. The Mazda spun out of control and ended up facing west. Mr. Hollier was not wearing a seat belt and the impact from the collision partially ejected him from his car. Mr. Hollier was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Carams’ truck drove through a grassy ditch, stopping and facing west. Both Mr. and Mrs. Caram were wearing seat belts and their airbags were functioning properly. Mr. Caram was transported by ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital for his injuries, while Mrs. Caram was pronounced dead on the scene.

Reports indicate Mr. Hollier was driving at an unsafe speed along with distracted driving as the root cause of the car accident. Fort Worth is listed as Texas Top 5 Cities with The Most Crashes according to the Texas Department of Transportation
