Hit-and-Run Driver Tased and Arrested
HARRIS COUNTY (October 15, 2018)– A major hit-and-run collision took place on Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fallbrook Drive and Jones Road in Northwest Harris County.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office the driver, of a black SUV ran the red light on Jones Road and crashed into a white Toyota. The passenger in the Toyota had to be rescued with Jaws of Life and was flown by Lifeflight helicopter to a local hospital. The driver of the Toyota was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance and remains in serious but stable condition.

The at-fault driver fled the scene on foot. A witness reported his whereabouts and authorities found him near a hospital. The suspect was believed to be intoxicated, and the police had to use a Taser prior to his arrest.

The crash remains under investigation and the police accident report will be made available within 10 days.
